Speeder 300-D

The Speeder 300 D is Merida’s top alloy model in the range. It’s the ideal commuter bike. It’s fast, light and efficient with an upright riding position – ideal for nipping through the traffic.
The heart of the Speeder 300 D is a 6066 aluminium frame for a light, stiff and strong ride – perfect for road riding. The tubes are then triple butted to save extra weight whilst retaining strength.
A tapered head tube provides front end stiffness and improved steering precision. Smooth welding around the tube joints is a nice touch that just adds to the quality finish of the frame.
Internal cable routing keeps the aesthetics of the bike clean, and at the same time protect them from damage from dirt and debris.
Shimano components provide great quality performance and reliability. In particular, the 105 rear mech is designed for road performance with quick and crisp action. Merida Comp 22 rims and Continental Sport Contact II tyres keep the Speeder 300 rolling smoothly. Tektro Vela hydraulic disc brakes are perhaps the best component on the bike. The large 160mm rotors provide powerful braking in all conditions – even mud, wet and grime.
